The Caribbean is made up of a large number of independent island states. There is a large variety of opportunities, costs, languages and cultures.
Travel for us in Britain to the Caribbean usually means a trip to the USA and then a hop on to the destination, which tends to make it quite a bit more expensive to get to as a holiday destination than the USA.
Developments of the clubs services throughout the Caribbean is being managed by American members, and we are expecting to see information early next year on the specialist web site being created at www.Self-build-caribbean.com initially this will be informative rather than supportive, concentrating on understanding all the many options, the countries advantages and disadvantages of each and be very largely fact based.
We have not yet decided on what is the best way to support members over this area, and are split between having a consultant or team who travel throughout the Caribbean and several covering small sections. It should all become clearer shortly.
