Can I get paid to work for the club
A.
The club has no paid staff, but provides services to members through a system using both consultants and other service arrangements plus some voluntary work by members.
Recruitment is generously rewarded by the points programme.
The club meets other needs by utilizing specialists, and this is done under contract arrangements, and of course the voluntary help provided by its members. We do have a detailed article on what is involved in becoming a consultant or researcher in the article section.
In addition some of the specialists we use, may from time to time look at taking on more people, or other working arrangements that will allow them to met their commitments to us, however they will quite naturally be looking for the very best people to meet the objectives that they have. This does not necessarily mean the highest qualified, and a keen person really interested in the club and in self build could be attractive to them for many roles. most of these will be introduced through existing consultants or others who have service contracts.
We also look for others that members may find of help, for example project managers, and if you feel you have the experience, knowledge and skills to be a project manager, or in some other way that members may find helpful, then let us know. No one should ever join this a club hoping that by doing so that they will gat paid employment, however if you are already a member it may be worth mentioning that you would like to be considered should a role that would suit you be created to the consultants that you come into contact with.
